View images which have a corresponding photograph from another period
I have added some hopefully useful information to each of the Company entries relating to both their precise location and their function. I am unclear as to where Johnson & Phillips and J. Stone & Co. had premises on the Peninsula.. very nearby yes.. but the Peninsula itself I'm not sure. Can anyone please clarify so that this section is accurate? TIA
It's easy to change the map 'centre' to relate better to the Peninsula overall, but at this magnification you can never get the entire area covered. I chose to centre the current map on the Rothbury Hall postcode as the Project base. If you change the default magnification of a StreetMap search- http://tinyurl.com/ycxgh2 - then you can get a reasonable map of the entire area, but with almost no detail.
Because it is simply a link to StreetMap's site it isn't possible to add a boundary to the map without obtaining a screen grab and annotating it, but that isn't legal. I'm not sure how one finds out StreetMap's terms and conditions of map use and annotation on a site.
Map
The map is a real improvement, but I wonder if there is any way of making clear the boundaries of our area? Also, the map that initially appears is only of the south of the area. There may not be any solution to this (I certainly don't have one!) but I thought I should mention it.
